A Letter from The CEO

 

Dear L-Pesa Users,

Thank you for your continued patronage and use of L-Pesa services. We have been working hard to consistently bring you progressive finance services, in line with the best global trends. Here is an update for you on what has been happening on ground, on our way to development.

  • It is very soon possible to earn interest each week through your L-Pesa Kripton (LPK) saving account. This happens when the user in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda saves LPK in that account.

We are also expanding our regional focus with L-Pesa. Here is how:

  • The testing period in Kampala region, Uganda is almost over, after a successful 6 months. The test period will end on Oct 1st 2018, and then the service will be boosted to all over Uganda.
  • We are continuing with our expansion, and the India L-Pesa wallet is now ready for production with the final legal issues being clearing those days.
  • In Asia, we are currently working on adding Chinese language to the L-Pesa platform and wallet. This ties in with an agreement with Wechat or Alipay and P-Pay or Wing in South East Asia region┬áfor l-pesa progressive loan services.
  • L-Pesa / Gemini Loan services – As much as we have had some regional expansion around various parts of the world, we are looking at using the Gemini Dollar Service or any other similar coin to make sure that users from around the world are able to benefit from L-Pesa progressive loan services. The Gemini dollar combines the creditworthiness and price stability of the U.S. Dollar with block chain technology. The Gemini dollar = 1 USD and they can be used on the Ethereum network. You can get a L-Pesa Gemini Personal Loan starting very soon through L-Pesa wallet. We are waiting for Gemini approval.

The total number of L-Pesa users has risen from 160,000 users to 250,000 users of purely generic traffic. This is excellent organic growth and is a trajectory that we will continue.
